Being Southern Ain't So Bad....

I am going back to Georgia in a few weeks and I am realizing that there are quite a few things that I miss.

Things I don't miss:

1. Humidity

2. Racial segregation

3. Super Southern Baptist people

4. Redneck accents

Things I do miss:

1. Sweet tea - homemade

2. Boiled peanuts. - Yes, I said boiled. They are deliciously salty heaven in your mouth

3. White Cheese dip at Mexican restuarants. --not queso --- White cheese dip

4. Mexican restuarants that don't serve chili on everything

5. Zaxbys--- yummm!!! I love their fries, crunchy ice, and chicken fingers with zaxbys sauce

6. SEC football and tailgating. I miss it sooooo much!!

7. My friends and family obviously...

8. Bodies of water (ie lakes, rivers, waterfalls, oceans, )

So it is going to be my mission to find a boiled peanut stand, eat mexican or at least get some cheese dip, and find some good sweet tea.

I am super excited!!

  1. Definitely miss the weather... sure don't miss the collective obsession with football though! Of course we get a lot of that in Maryland too, but not nearly as much.

  2. You've made me homesick :(
I'm going home for Easter! :)

Thanks for helping me get psyched. My "miss" list is exactly yours -Zazbys +Cane's. I also have to admit I miss some of the humidity, I've never been so ashy since I've moved here!

    I read your blog.

  3. Well it's a good thing you are coming to stay w me. There is a boiled peanut stand on the way to my house, as well as Zaxbys. I'll make a fresh batch of tea and we will eat dinner at El Campasino. The trade off? Bring me some green chili for my burgers!
